and Enjoy your Work


As an employee you can avoid job burnout or reverse job burnout with a commitment to make changes in your life that will reduce your daily stressors.

Learn and practice techniques such as visualization, guided imagery, meditation, yoga, positive thinking and thought control, not just for work but to reduce stressors in your every day life and improve your health, attitude and relationships.

You need to determine what is causing your unhappiness. To unravel the layers of stress will also take time so patience is essential, don’t make rash decisions before you think them through. There are options available to you but it will be up to you to find the best fit for your needs.

If you truly love your position and want to try to avoid job burnout and resolve your issues there is no reason that you shouldn’t request a meeting with your supervisor.

Before any meeting make sure you give yourself a couple days to make notes on all of the concerns you would like to address to keep you on track and ensure that you don’t overlook an important issue.

You may be able to request a lateral change to a different position with more reasonable expectations or you may even consider looking for a new job.
