Altering our thoughts

Reducing your stress is a matter of altering our thoughts. There have been many wise people that bring to mind the thoughts that we should keep in the forefront of our minds. These thoughts remind us of the important factors in life and allow us to release and let go of the frivolous, unimportant and insignificant thoughts that we tend to let occupy our present thinking.

Make peace with your past, know that everything has happened for a reason even if you don’t understand what that reason was. You have gained strength and direction from the choices you have made but also know you can change your path today by making just one decision – one choice.

Don’t compare your life to others or be judgmental of them, you don’t know the journey they have traveled. Each person makes a decision based on what they know to be right at that particular time in space. Different circumstances may have meant different choices. Accept and move forward.

The future will change as it unfolds – don’t waste precious time worrying about something that may never come about. Stop thinking so much try to place your mind in the present moment. Forgive yourself – forgive others. No two individuals think 100% alike. Accept and cherish that you (and they) are different, learn from each individual you meet. Let go of everything but the present moment – enjoy – breathe – feel alive and free.

No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
